Running shoes are meant to get dirty and worn out! I never understood it when people spend top dollar for running shoes. Running shoes should always be $50 or less.
Nike ‘Lunar Forever’ running shoes are 50% off at Nordstrom.com for $40.98. Plus all orders receive FREE SHIPPING.

Can you recommend any slim fitting chinos for a short guy (5’6 29 waist)
And also any shoes besides clarks desert boots that work well for many everyday fits? I have a pair of taupe suede clarks but would like to add a few more shoes to my rotation

Hello Jon,
We actually have a similar build. I am 5’7 31 waist. For the best chino fit, I recommend ordering a pair from http://www.bonobos.com. Enter your email and get 20% off your first order. They are known for innovative cuts and designs that accommodate the body of men with a more tailored profile. However, they are a bit pricey so an alternative I like are the Zara Mens Slim pants. They are seasonal, but have the perfect slim fit for guys our size. They also come in a variety of colors and materials. I love them so much that I have 3 pairs!
I also rock the Clarks Desert Boots almost on a daily basis. However in the spring and summer months I like to work in some boat shoes. I suggest any of the Original Sperry Topsiders (comes in a variety of colors and designs) or the Sperry Topsiders made and sold only at J. Crew – which are my favorite.
A few other options that I love are:
1) Sperry Slip-On Sneakers which gives you a younger casual look, but not elementary like Converse Chucks.
2) Cole Haan Lunargrand Wingtop with Nike Soles
3) Any casual pair of loafers! Check Banana Republic, Clarks, and Sperry.
When shopping for shoe designs, my first stop is usually piperlime.com
Cheers
Raymond
